Events that take place in our lives are not always predictable, much less controllable. Sometimes we work for weeks or months toward a goal, only to have our efforts thwarted in the home stretch.
When confronted with these situations, we find ourselves wishing for other choices.
Wouldn’t it be great if we were not in the predicament we find ourselves? Wouldn’t it be great if such-and-such had not happened? Wouldn’t it be great if we could turn back the clock?
The fact is: we have none of these options.
Newton’s First Law of Motion states, ‘An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion.’ It’s time to get it in gear. It’s time to make things happen. Granted, it will be challenging to build momentum from a complete standstill.
It is easy, almost reassuring in a strange way, to look behind us and justify all the reasons that have us frozen in our tracks. But where does that get us? It’s a little bit tougher, yet far more rewarding, to look to the horizon and take the next step, however small, and keep moving forward!
Imagine what it would be like to take that step – and the next, and the next, and the next! — with a buddy, a champion, a cheerleader – someone who will be on your side and hold you accountable — an unflaggingly encouraging coach!

Do you sometimes wonder if you’re headed in the right direction? Does it sometimes feel as if your energies are misdirected? Are you wondering if you are actually ‘being you’?
Ask yourself these questions, and record your answers:
- What subjects do you most enjoy reading about?
- What or radio programs do you most enjoy?
- What are your favorite types of movies?
- What are your favorite hobbies or pasttimes?
- What type of volunteer activities do you prefer?
- What subjects do you enjoy discussing with friends?
- What subjects come to mind when you daydream?
- What have been your favorite jobs?
- What were your favorite school subjects?
- What are your pet peeves?
- If you doodle, what do you often draw?
- If you ran the world, what changes would you make?
- If you won a million bucks, what would you do with it?
- Who are your favorite kinds of people?
- How would you like to be remembered after your death?
- What are your favorite ‘toys’?
- How would you describe your political beliefs?
- Who do you most admire in life and why?
- What tasks have brought you the most success?
- What tasks do you think you could do well that you haven’t yet done?
Examine your answers. Do you see a certain behavior or belief in more than one aspect of your life? What information do you see repeated that seems to reveal a behavior pattern? What are your long-lasting interests?
Is it beginning to feel as if you’ve been following someone else’s dreams all these years? Have you even forgotten whose dreams they were?!

Coaching is not therapy, and it’s not counseling. It’s an enjoyable and highly effective process that supports individuals in reaching their highest personal and spiritual fulfillment by living each moment from their core values. Coaching is usually done by phone and fits into your busy, real-life schedule. I partner with my clients, as they identify where they are now and where they want to be. Then together we create a path to bridge the gap.
Coaching is perfect for:
- Designing your ideal personal life.
- Clarifying your dreams and your values.
- Making meaningful choices that simplify your life.
- Focusing your energy to accomplish your goals.
Once you experience coaching, you’ll immediately appreciate the value of the process. Even if coaching isn’t for you right now, maybe someone you know could benefit from working with a Life Coach. With this in mind, I would like to offer you the gift of a 20- or 30-minute Sample Session. It’s absolutely free, and there’s no obligation on your part.
Give me a call, or send me an email, if you’d like to set up a Sample Session at your convenience. I’d enjoying spending the time with you.
